April 22nd: Moms Club Guest Speaker "Tantrums and Defiance" - Effective strategies for managing tantrums and defiance, and ways to decrease their frequency and intensity when they do occur.
May 1st: 4-5:30pm, Poulsbo, WA "Classroom and Homework Strategies" - Does your child struggle in school or when doing homework? Then please join me for a workshop full of strategies and tools that will help your child be successful in the classroom and end the nightly homework battles! The following important topics will be covered:
- understanding your child's brain
- implementing effective accommodations in the classroom
- effective and positive behavior plans for the classroom
- meeting sensory needs in the classroom and at home
- rethinking homework time to meet your child's needs
- specific homework techniques that improve attention and retention
This workshop will change the way you approach your child's learning! Once you understand the way your child's brain works and how he learns, you will be able to meet your child's needs. The scientifically-based techniques taught in this workshop will decrease frustration and anger (for parents, teachers and students) and improve your child's attention, retention and self-confidence. Cost: $55/person or $75/couple.
